A-Z of Motherhood (Abecedarian Poem)

All I wanted was a

Baby

Couldn’t you have given one

Didn’t that make sense

Even if you pitied me

Freak

God?

Hapless am

I

Jousting with twins

Knuckling down

LoLing, you.

Maybe it’s fate

Now I love them

Obviously

Please

Quixotic I may be

Romantic I am

Silly too

Trying to grow

Up

Veer on course

Wallowing in self pity

‘Xcuses

You know well

Zealous now in their care.
